Holly Freishtat, Baltimore City’s Food Policy Director, explains to a panel hosted by the Atlantic on health inequities why a study from John Hopkins University helped change some of the language used when discussing neighborhood access to healthful food in the city of Baltimore.
Regardless of what you choose to call it, it describes a crisis that the Black Church Food Security Network is creatively–and faithfully–responding to. Darriel Harris, co-founder of the network, also shared the good news of this extraordinary project with the panel.
